The story

Kupong is an Oslo based clothing brand with a love for knitwear and sustainable fashion. There has always been a wish to establish a brand with good ethics and philosophy, from the design process and throughout the entire production line.

Kupong do not not follow seasons, but design timeless garments that can be used in an everyday wardrobe with the use of natural materials that are suitable for a Nordic climate, and wool that can be used all year round.

The idea behind Kupong was to establish a brand one can feel good about, from the design process throughout the production line.
Each style is carefully designed and developed in Norway. These are clothes to be worn all day - everyday.

We wish to build a brand with a good production line that makes unique quality products.

Kupong uses traditional knitting techniques in developing the products, but the look and style is contemporary and upbeat.

The Uniform Collection is Kupongs first machine produced line and staple wear. These styles are always in stock, and the core of the collection.

The Handknit Collection is limited and an addition to the Uniform collection.
All garments in this collection are handmade, each style is unique. Every piece has a personal signature. The hand knit collection is knitted by women in Norway.

The name
The name Kupong had always been a nickname for the concept; We used to be inspired by post-war fashion and customisation of knitted garments as a result of demand and rationalisation. If something was worn out or broken it was mended.

Even though the design and look is no longer directly inspired by this, the name stuck.
Kupong can be associated with something provident and has a nostalgic ring to it that suits the brands philosophy. It is straight forward and wholesome.

Kupong strive for an unwasteful lifestyle and wish to deliver a sustainable product. The productions are small, some on demand - but always designed to make quality last.
